That got my attention in the real estate section of the newspaper the other day.Even has a barn!Plus, a few out buildings.A few acres……….need I say more my interest was piqued!Plus, it was only 14 miles away………perhaps I could have my cow after all and perhaps, the boys could start a family compound!But who would get the pool house and who would get the guesthouse?A toss of a coin perhaps,although the barn was big enough to be a house,but I need that for a few BABY DOLL SHEEP and a COW……..chickens of course and if I had too a miniature horse or donkey would do just fine!The house was built-in 1890………burned in 1920…….they added on and on……….a man who owned an ORCHESTRA owned the house then he became a judge!Supposedly, GUY LOMBARDO, was a guest!INTRIQUE………..do I have your attention?Well, it got mine and the ITALIAN HUSBANDS was piqued too, cause he rang to say he would meet me there at 3:00!He never gets home before 7pm!Prepare yourself as it is a CONTRACTORS DREAM as the paper described!Had the neighbors not been so close and we had an extra twenty years we might have gone for it,but unfortunately no one had lived there for 12 years and a couple of trees were growing inside and dry rot galore….needless, to say CONTRACTOR HUSBAND said,”ITS A TEAR DOWN NOT MUCH COULD BE SAVED.”Which is a shame because the old world charm and the DRESSING ROOM swept me away…………..

I can just see you in your Gown wandering through the trees… Contractor husband could remake the structure in first photo, and the rest the design is up to you. No neighbors to poo-poo your small livestock menagerie. and just think of the garden design possibilities. YES! Family compound! maybe a swimming pool tucked into a sunny corner. palais des poulet of course. artist studio, or a Petit Trianon-just like Marie Antoinette’s in France!As Virginia Wolf said a woman must have a room of one’s own. Just picture your grand babies growing up amongst the cottages and trees and curling up with you in the main house-lots of windows opened to the patios. Remember the house in It’s Complicated-Diane Keaton’s? But better!!! A girl can dream…thank you for sharing yours.

You make me laugh……….yes, wandering the 2.6 acres in my gown!However, you have mis-understood my words,the real reason that we are not interested beside the energy and time commitment is that the neighbors were too close here on all sides!It does have a GRAND swimming pool which is full of ivy at the moment!Very deep and very divine…….the steps into it are worth saving! The photo was too dark so I did not share with you that part of the estate.Just as well…………as you would want to move in too and well its just not meant to be at this time.
