…………I spent my day cleaning my kitchen floor and as I was scrubbing away like CINDERELLA I discovered some wonderful PATINA!That word has been popping up a lot lately………..recently a Blog Post by Invitation Only was released by some of my favorite BLOGGERS so it has been on my mind.Then of course there was a book released with the title PATINA that had us all at page one!Then just on Friday night I was one lucky girl to join the San Francisco Opera for the opening performance and who is doing the food set~up but PATINA CATERING!
Patina ~ Patina ~ Patina………..its all around me if I really open my eyes!Layers upon layers of chipped paint,rust,and tarnished silver.Does make it more fun to clean ones abode if you are in search of that “P” word!I even feel like I have some good layers of PATINA on me!I think I will refer to myself as aging with PATINA STYLE from here on out!Has a nice ring don’t you think?

I love patina! I think this is how I will describe my complexion from now on. Patina is rich and shows a life well lived. Whether a face, a floor or a piece of furniture. Fun post!

Patina is my new favourite word. Of course as I age I feel I’m doing way too much patina’ing and need a bit more slap (British for make-up) to cover it all up. I am loving that photo of you on the left in blue velvet!

Only you, ma belle Contessa could turn an event such as cleaning the floors into something so beautiful. You know that I love patina myself and so very much appreciated this…plus the amazing quote in the comments above.
We are back from our escape from the bullfights and as sad as I am to be back amidst the noise of Arles, it feels welcoming to look out my window and see the various shades and layers on the 17th century building across the way.
