I adore summer………unfortunately where I live I do not experience the typical summer time.
No pool
Ocean too cold
Wind creeps up in the evenings
I could go on and on about the lack of summer in my life but instead will focus on the bright side!
I put bright orange nail polish on my toes!
I have been on a shopping frenzy lately and have a few long dresses to dash to the grocery store in!
I have a love for hats……..
And eating outside!Although those pesky BEE’S seem to work their way over………….speaking of Bee’s.
This was a few of us meeting up at the BUMBLE in LOS ALTOS.Do you recognize me?I would be the one on the right.Then there is JODY on the left from ABOUT LAST WEEKEND.We share a mutual friend and the same hair designer !Kim with her eyes shut is a doll and she was the one who put this lunch together.She writes the Blog NORTHERN CALIFORNIA STYLE.She has two Boys and is in the midst of the college prep stuff……….you can imagine the anxiety she has dealing with prep courses and college applications etc.Then there is the lovely woman who has the most delicious grandchild I have ever seen who writes the blog A WELL STYLED LIFE………Jennifer.We had lunch in January?Talked blogs, friends,life in general and come to find out she lives in my backyard!
I was happy to have found an opportunity to wear THE NECK PIECE I had made from vintage pins.All thanks to another blogger who Jennifer from A WELL STYLED LIFE told me about at our first lunch date.TAMERA BEARDSLEY.She lives in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA close to where I use to live many moons ago!In fact ,we went to the same college at the same time!!!!!!We made that connection early on after I started following her………….you could say we have a wee bit in common!!!!!!
This photo was taken by Jody and makes me look so thin I think.I am gripping that Lemonade that was delicious.Of course, I can not recall what was in it but they had made it and I loved the vessel and the whole presentation!Was it Basil girls??Or cucumbers?
We left the BUMBLE that day with a promise to hook up again soonest………Kim is on her way to the BIG ISLAND,Jody just got back from NEW ZEALAND,Jennifer is always headed somewhere whether it be CANADA were they had a home or up North to see that delicious GRANDCHILD and me well I’ll be here hanging out in my garden painting the tool shed door this color and changing my accessories to match my mood this summer.
Hopefully, I will get this little guy for a few sleep overs too!
This is my GRANDDOG ADMIRAL BUTTERS who gets his shots next Wednesday, which happens to be my 28th wedding anniversary!How on earth did that happen?I have gained about 40 pounds since that day!Do you think the ITALIAN HUSBAND has noticed???If he has he has been a real gentleman about it!
You all have a WONDERFUL summer…………and don’t forget I will be at this Antique & Vintage Show next weekend!

Your summers sound wonderful. I would trade ours with yours anytime. It is starting to get stiflingly hot and I rarely venture out before the sun starts to go down. BTW, there are plenty of ugly places here, as there are everywhere, but I tend to avoid them. Ugliness makes me sad.
