I met new people.I saw old friends……..
Turns out we had a birthday to celebrate on LAVENDER STREET!

Contessa and her Chicken.This Chick was the first thing to be SOLD on SATURDAY!I was devastated as it was the first item I had purchased 13 years ago for my shop!The woman who bought HER really LOVED her so I guess it was okay to say good~bye!I took this photo for sentimental reasons!
The FRENCH chest and the black hand stitched collar also flew out……….I have a feeling I will see the chest at HILLSBOROUGH SHOW touched up and looking rather smashing as a LOVELY couple bought it who I happen to buy from when I go to their show!
Thank Goodness I did not sell this CANDY CANE……it lights up and I actually have two of them!I have two lamp posts outside my home with French lanterns……..now wouldn’t they look SMASHING hanging there for the HOLIDAYS??!!I think so and was happy to carry back to the truck to load it up!
A big attraction was the set of knife rests……as most people did not know what they were used for!Especially, MEN!!
Here I am………….waiting for the “ACTION” to begin.It was a lovely weekend.I really had a good time being in my element!Of course, I too did my fair share of buying for ME!
My neighbor to the left had her GRANDSON with her through out the show and he got to do some babysitting while a lady shopped!I might add he was a WONDERFUL salesman too!

This year I got to meet her daughter!ADDISON………and her BELLA…….her beloved dog.
Italian Husband to the rescue!I made a phone call in the AM as I needed a muffin or something small to CELEBRATE!I knew he would be traveling via the DUCATI so a cake was out of the question…………HE DID GOOD!HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TINA!
I had to have a photo with the MASTER PLANNER of this WONDERFUL event…….JUDY WATKINS.
For years I had heard about HER show……….
But for one reason or another had never made it SOUTH on the designated weekend.
She came NORTH and TRA LA……………THANK YOU JUDY!

Oh I felt as if I were there! So FUN. ALMOST made me want to do show again….AND I felt your pain as you sold that chicken!!!!! UGH. SO hard to let go of special, sentimental things, but you’re right, if it’s going to a loving home it’s ok!
Thank God the Italian hubby came through for you. Gotta love our guys!!!

These kind of events make our treasures standout, it’s great to see them sale but sad at the same time, so hard to part with the good ones, yet knowing more pieces will come along make this business of dealing so much fun.
