WELCOME………I know a lot of you did not receive MY LAST POST.I am NO HELP there as I did not either……………but if you missed it you may scroll to the bottom of this POST and go back to AN OLDER POST which if YOU know me is worth viewing! The Post is called THE VINTAGE CONTESSA.NET.I do hope it was just a SNAFU.
This Post is about FLOWERS & FASHION and our GO TO OUTFIT for SPRING.

Topic by that DIVINE WOMAN in HOUSTON named MARSHA for the BY INVITATION ONLY SERIES…………shall we step into SPRING in my new little ballerina pink ankle boot!
Follow me.
ANDIAMO……………..

I do NOT have a GO -TO OUTFIT for SPRING as I give no thought to what I wear until I step into my closet.I do sport a HAT on occasion………or a FESTIVITY CROWN.I do wear CAFTANS and long dresses…….linen pants with long flowing tops.

Penelope and Me on our way to the BIRTHDAY LUNCHEON in our FESTIVITY CROWNS.
SUMMERLAND BEACH,CALIFORNIA.Transitioning into SPRING………………..

TEA FOR TWO….EDWARDIAN HAT available for purchase at THE REMNANTS of the PAST SHOW in APRIL.I forget how much but it’s NOT CHEAP!Tis tucked away in a box in my storage. If you are interested just send me an email……[email protected].

TULIP TREE in FULL GLORY.Me trying to be a TULIP!
I am standing in a coat I had made out of VINTAGE curtains! This fabric was just TOO good to be cut up for pillows!

Note that deep big pocket for collecting fresh eggs from OUR chicken coop!

Here we have MARY LYN a TRUE SOUTHERN BELLE featuring a KATHERINE HEPBURN type hat that will make its debut at the REMNANTS OF THE PAST SHOW in my booth this APRIL.The price of the hat is $45.00.
MARY LYN, is tucked under my FIRST flowering CLEMATIS of the season …………the fragrance is intoxicating.A little bit about this SOUTHERN BELLE, she hails from TENNESSEE and is keen on moving to CALIFORNIA.
TRIVIA FACT:Her sister dates JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE’s brother! They all went to school TOGETHER!

My model here is a GORGEOUS SOUTHERN BELLE named JiLL who comes highly recommended from the FULBRIGHT scholarship foundation. She is wearing HER GO TO OUTFIT for SPRING with a denim jacket…crowned by a DAISY HEADDRESS.Denim is BIG this YEAR……..in case you are OUT of the LOOP!
We were a little too soon to catch the cascading roses that will cover this swinging bench.Who needs FLOWERS when you have YOUTH,long gowns, denim and CROWNS OF DAISIES.Did I mention these lovelies are staying with me!!!

Flowers are BIG and TASSELS too if you are a FASHION BESOTTED PERSON…..
The PARIS fashion shows are showing lots of FLOWERS around the neck and decolletage.TASSELS ABOUND as earrings and embellishments adorn some of the Ready – to- Wear…….I wouldn’t have a problem with that………..my only problem is where do I wear something like that in my daily doings? Then again I do not have a problem wearing an OPERA COAT to the grocery store.
Here I am in my NEW T-SHIRT by FANNY KARST for ADVANCED STYLE.Pom-Pom earrings and a HAT to adorn.Spring is on it’s way and long dresses and long skirts are my key essentials. The legs are not what they use to be and I find it is an elegant yet comfortable way to go about my daily routines.Always a FLAT SHOE.Always a LIPSTICK and more often than NOT BRACELETS ride the movements of my sleek forearm!
How many of YOU take the time to TOUR around the other WORLDLY BLOGGERS of the BY INVITATION ONLY series…….to do that GO HERE.
Scroll to the bottom of MARSHA’s POST and click on another BLOG to take you far away.AWAY from what you should be doing!Do READ MARSHA’s POST first and comment! There are about 12 other BLOGGERS that participate.
I find it highly entertaining and educational at the same time!Beats the NEWS by far.As most of us write about the BEAUTY that surrounds US.Speaking of BEAUTY……I have a NEW member to ANNOUNCE.
Can you guess which one……………!!!

HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE………………..only TEN more days.

SPRING AHEAD, watch your STEP! 🙂
I decided in February to parley winter into obsolescence, and it worked. Your garden is far ahead of Vienna, though.
Love your ankle boots! I own pale pink patent-leather ballerinas (pale ballerina pink ballerinas?) and a pair of slingback in the same color. I also like light-grey shows with just a hint of pink left.
contessa says
GREY and pink are glorious together MERISI.
Yes, I would imagine CALIFORNIA Is a head of EUROPE IN the GARDEN department thats about it HOWEVER!!!!FASHION and FOOD always FIRST in your neck of the woods!

That little pig is just too cute. I thought I was seeing wrong and had to look again. You look so very good in hats. My mum says that some people can wear hats and others can’t. She’s convinced she can’t. I think she just hasn’t found the right style. Glad to have been of some help with the book title. –

Good Morning Contessa! I love reading your blog and this one especially is a wonderful way to start my day here in chilly Philly. While I am looking at the remainder of 10 inches of snow, now just one inch left to melt I read about your flowers, spring fashion and the cute girls you have visiting. You brighten my day. No bulbs can be found popping up in my yard yet and it is now 43 degrees, which is summer to us but you give me the promise of whats to come. Thank you for the beauty you share! I picture you out with your new family member, darling, in the garden plucking flowers for the table. Have a magical day! xox Jan

I just saw your comment on my page…YES! YES! I want to see Cinderella and I know it’s up OUR alley! Oh how I’ve always wanted to retell the story and in fact, as a child, I DID! I used to make books of Cinderella over and over, and I’d draw her dresses with detail.
AND yes, I am going to self-publish my blog content but with my own photos and possibly some photos of willing blog pals. Sounds like fun?
