Let me EXPLAIN………….I have been FOLLOWING this LADY for over SIX YEARS.
She writes a beautiful BLOG called LOST IN ARLES.
I think she was the SECOND BLOG I FOLLOWED…………….VICKI ARCHER was the FIRST.
I loved her PHOTOS and the fact she was an AMERICAN in FRANCE.
She has a way with WORDS Too; a few I had to LOOK up along the way…….
NEVER STOP LEARNING.
Her education ended at YALE…………..where she studied ACTING.
Where SHE was told she could BECOME the next MERYL STREEP!
New FOUR~LEGGED Friends were found on her visit out WEST where she lived many years ago!
Heather, gave ME a GIFT!
She created over the first three days a COCKTAIL made just for ME!
On the THIRD evening she said this is it!
THE CONTESSA COCKTAIL.
Once again let me back up and preface this as SHE was ALWAYS making a COCKTAIL on the weekends in ARLES.
I loved that about her BLOG.She would look forward to HER weekend and KIR ROYAL or another drink that would make me WONDER.
Remember I married the ITALIAN and he only knows or wants to make a CAMPARI!
I ENJOY MORE SWEETNESS to my beverage!
Especially if a tinge of pinkness appears.

I’ve not read of her actual trials yet, but we’ve all had our horrible dips in life and I imagine you were just the tonic Heather needed! Your everyday opulent home and persona seem to be just what the doctor ordered. Like Your Italian, I love my Campari. Mmm. And Aperol. And Chinotto. We have a version of Chinotto called Kinnie here and I about died the year I lived in the US because I missed it so much, until I found Chinotto on the shelves at World Market. That place kept me sane since they stock so many brands that I was used to back home. Anyway, maybe one day I will write about my year in St Louis.

I have read Heather’s blog for a number of years and always knew she was a beautiful writer and photographer, but now I see she is a beautiful person as well — in every way, of course. I feel for Heather, and I had not been regular reader of her blog, although I’d visited once or twice. I didn’t stick around, not because I failed to recognize Heather’s talents, but because I’m not keen on the Adore La France business, in general.
Which matters not at all, except, in leaving France behind, Heather will find a whole new crew of people who are tired of French Women Are So Fantastic You Might As Well Give Up, and therefore ignored writers who only happened to LIVE in France:).

Heather is an exceptional woman. I venerate her strength and she deserves
a carefree better life as it is currently. I can unfortunately not help her. She is sensitive and a bit spiritual , I think and the latter will definitely help her.
Everyone’s life goes up and down and she will hopefully see the rising sun very
soon. My dignety is for you too , Comtessa…a real friend. You cheered her up at least for the time in your home. I was crying too hard from being so moved yesterday to leave a comment and now to come back and see so many encouraging words from such incredible women all over the world…this is without a doubt one of the most wonderful things that anyone has ever done for me. You (and your readers) give me faith in the people of the world just when I need it most.
And to those who happen to see this, our Contessa is the most generous person ever but far too modest to even begin to admit to all that she did for me with this trip. But if any of you have the chance to meet her ever…do whatever you can to go!

This is such a touching tribute for Heather. I so enjoyed each and every photo. The pictures reflect her beautiful heart as well as her timeless beauty. Contessa, I loved seeing photos of your home and garden, a breathtaking backdrop for our girl. Heather is young and beautiful and artistic is so many ways. Having a degree from Yale she will definitely get a fabulous job.
When applicants apply for a job, it is the Ivy League Universities such as Yale graduates who will be hired.
