I actually called her AUDREY………….as she reminded me of AUDREY HEPBURN.
These photos were taken over SEVEN years ago.
(I had TWO comments,one was me!)
She HAILED from ITALY and is the daughter of my husbands BEST MAN at OUR WEDDING.
She has landed in MEDOC, FRANCE with MIMI THORISSON
in an old MANOR HOME that needs RENOVATIONS and REPAIRS.
Mimi, has written TWO COOKBOOKS, has a column for FRENCH ELLE and I believe has a TV SHOW.
ON TOP OF ALL THIS SHE HAS A HOUSE FULL OF CHILDREN and FLOWERS.

AS most of you know I had a visit with a CARDIOLOGIST on March 28,th,who was recommended from one of MY READERS HERE!
Rumor had it he liked Carrot Cake so I made a Carrot Cake with cream cheese frosting with a dash of lemon juice from my lemon tree.
FIRST THING he said to me, “YOU LOOK FAMILIAR”.I told him what town I lived in and he lives about a mile away!Next I told him I had heard he likes Carrot Cake.He looked PERPLEXED!
I explained the BLOG and that I had a READER who knew someone who had gone to him years ago.
Than I continued on with my HEALTH.
He was worried about getting the china plate back to me!
As you can tell
WE HAD A FEW THINGS IN COMMON.
HE LISTENED to me talk.
HE LISTENED TO MY HEART.
HE MADE AN ATTACK PLAN.
I left his office a VERY HAPPY person.
The headaches are still lingering even if I am on this Heavy duty medication.Need to give it more time.The GOOD NEWS is NO MORE EPISODES.
It has been 16 days since my last one.

I think we all can get so caught up in our days, that we need to be reminded to really slow down. I am picturing you walking into that lucky Dr.’s office and the look on his face whilst you are presenting him with that cake! So precious a moment that must have been. The DOC.was curious HOW I knew that……….but immediately got down to business.

HAS FIVE WOUNDS………WE had TRAUMA the other day stuck between the jacuzzi and a fence on a slant!!!HE WAS CREAMING LIKE A CHILD………HORRIFIC!!!!
I MIGHTY ME lifted his BOTTOM UP so he was able to BACK OUT ,that was AFTER we tried going FORWARD…………..5 cuts that he will not allow me to touch!
He is doing MUCH MUCH BETTER He too had a day of REST.Under the kitchen TABLE………XX

You’re an adorable woman. Would you mind please please please sharing your creme cheese frosting recipe? I’m in Italy so hope to find the ingredients here. I LOVE your curtain coat – when you’ve had enough of your curtain coat (the one in the 1st pic), can I buy it to make curtains for my home? It’s lovely and would be perfect (again) as curtains. I used to follow Mimi (and her hubby) before she and he became SO popular and appearing everywhere. I’m happy for her. But I’m interested in IG following your Contessa in training. SHE seems to have an interesting life…

CREAM CHEESE did not exist when I lived in ITALIA years ago!
8 ounces Cream Cheese
6 tablespoons sweet butter at room temp.
3 cups confectioner’s sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
juice of half a lemon…..I used
1.CReam together CREam C and butter in mixing bowl.
2.Slowly sift in CONFEC sugar and continue beating until fully incorporated.Mixture should be free of lumps.
3.Stir in Vanilla and lemon
FROSTING FOR A 2 LAYER CAKE.

Doubt it. I think there’s a “Dolcesarto Crema” — or what do you think about using Marscapone? Living 8 yrs in Germany, closest I found to creme cheese is called Quark…. and in fact, I think I like it better than creme cheese.

Oh this post just breathed the most fragrant, delicious air for me! I adore the pockets on that arty, gorgeous jacket. I do believe Monet would have asked to marry you if he saw you! And then he would paint you wearing it and become even more famous. The thought just makes me smile..Monet painting the Contessa.. The story of Francesca brought tears to my eyes too. Your legacy carrying on with the next generation. She is full of heart and passion and life..I can tell from her smile and how I love the red lipstick.
