JUNE was a VERY BUSY MONTH!

WE attended a wedding in HEALDSBURG and saw GORGEOUS PEOPLE from DOWNUNDER!!

 

 

I’m looking DOWN at THEM as my computer is not uploading any of their images!!!!!!

I am a bit BOTHERED by THIS but will continue……….

I received an email about ALI MACGRAW being in CHICAGO and sent my INSTAGRAM BUDDY TO MEET HER!

Love it when PEOPLE LISTEN TO ME!

WE ALL get a THRILL out of it!

She actually got to speak with her for about 10 minutes and was in the front row!

Of course, I said GET A PHOTO FOR ME!

I think I paid $60.00 for this………..if you did not know I’m a BARGIN SHOPPER!

THIS YOUNG THING STAYED WITH ME FOR TWO WEEKS THIS SUMMER!

IT’S SO FUN TO GET MY GIRL FIX!

SHE TOOK SOME GREAT PHOTOS OF THE GARDEN AND A FEW OF ME BUT HER BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS INTERVIEWING ME FOR A VIDEO!

ONCE I SEE IT AND IF I LIKE THE SOUND OF MY VOICE I WILL SHARE HERE!

SHE HAD 14 SCREWS REMOVED FROM HER BACK DUE TO A SURGERY OF TWO YEARS AGO!!

LET ME JUST SAY SHE DID GREAT!

(OR I WAS A GOOD NURSE!???!)

SHE EVEN ASKED TO KEEP A SCREW AS A SOUVENIR!

THE SURGEON IS HAVING IT PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED THAN WILL MAIL it to HER!!!!!!!

OUT SHE CAME MODELING!

THEY HAVE STOCK but one must try them on as all are hand~made.

SO, what that means is a trip to MARIN COUNTY and perhaps I can meet you there!

Re: that folly at Filoli — I have a watercolor above my bedroom fireplace of that very same folly, painted from almost an identical angle. It was done by a dear family friend was an artist-in-residence there. I also have a friend that was a docent there. Their gift shop is wonderful. I adore Filoli! The garden is so perfect. I have a bunch of photos from a visit there several years ago, and if I say so myself, they all came out great. That place has no bad angle — every view is a winner!

    Of course my life is not glamorous like yours, but I can’t help noticing that when interesting people or things are about, you manage to get great photos of them. That is one big reason why I look forward to your postings.

      I always say lets SNAP A PHOTO before WE FORGET!
      BANKSY when last weighted about TWO YEARS AGO was 130 pounds.My guess is he is about 160 now.Cannot pick him up ANYMORE!
      He does not eat a lot!One third of a cup of piggy pellets with water and a fruit is his main meal twice a day!Than he has the garden to PATROL!!!!!!!!!He adores LEMON BALM!!Sometimes my roses but mostly when I deadhead he helps me so I do not have to bend to pick it up!!!Nuts from the OAK TREES is another favorite and he was a CHAMPION when it came to cleaning up the garden from the PLUM TREE!!!

    You’ve been busy, busy!! All a visual feast, as usual, and all these brushes with celebrity, it’s giddying!! Is Beatrix wearing a little alligator about her waist? She is very chic. I don’t have the books but I did buy one (maybe the first?) for an older girlfriend a couple of birthdays back as she was having an Existential Crisis. It did help.

    Loving the shoes, and you do African Very Well. And Winston is such a good poser. My first visit to Italy, I stayed at the top of the Spanish Steps so will always love them, tourists or not!

    Cannot help with the computer thing. It’s all a mystery to me – I don’t even have a smart phone – so it’s an absolute miracle that I’ve figured out how to get onto blogging. When in doubt, ask a Millennial!

    As you know I absolutely am mad about your roses, together with the Jasmine on the Spanish Steps – Winston of course, just adds to the whole regalness of the photo as the Queen (you can’t get more Royal than that!) is a corgi aficionado! Winston is in great company.
    Coast & Koi, of course, just make the most showstopping shoes on earth and I have way too many pairs but love them all. Don’t seem able to keep from buying them!
    Anyway love this blog and can’t wait to meet your Grande Dame from England.

It’s despicable how I waste summer every year. But you are always an inspiration to spice life up a bit more. We’ve a family wedding tomorrow so there’s no excuse.     • The make up is AWAYS the same…………
      What is different is these photos were all taken late afternoon so the make up has taken a BREAK for the day!Meaning it is NO MORE!
      I do wear a darker lipstick come Winter but other than that…….serum,foundation with a 50 block, brown eye shadow, and a brown blush………than the lips!

  34. OH Elizabeth, I just pore over every photo! I love them all, but Banksy has a special little trotter around my heart. Your garden is exquisite and your clothes always suit you and only you so perfectly. The African print dress is amazing… I’m looking at a similar big ball gown style skirt on the website Bombchele, do you know it? You might love some of their things, the African batik print kimonos and skirts especially.
