I made MY RETURN and decided to have lunch at their restaurant.
They make a GREAT APPLE,FETA CHEESE, WALNUT SALAD for 600 calories!
IT’s BUFFET STYLE In case you were WONDERING!
MY TEXT MESSAGES go off and its MY BUDDETTE in WASHINGTON STATE saying and I quote,” My BFF from High School reports an ANTIQUEGODDESS(my code name on instagram) sighting in Downtown Walnut Creek!!(smiley face).
“YEP.”
“Tell her to say HELLO!!”
(As I start looking around the place.)
(Than a bell goes off.)
“Did she take MY PHOTO????”
“I Saw HER DO IT!!!!!”

I thought Why?
I almost said something as we passed in THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET!
Which I should have OR she should have as we both are headed over seas soon and I would have loved some company eating THAT salad and hearing about where in ITALY she is GOING!!!!!!!!

I recently saw the most regal woman at the market and asked for her photo. She agreed, but asked me to leave off her face. We talked a little and she confessed to being 81. She looked like 61. Great skin, tall and thin, wearing a beautiful skirt with a fitted knit top and kitten-heel pumps.
The color is gorgeous and bravo to you for dressing up even to make a return.
Carolyne Roehm is very beautiful. I love her site/blog–watching the creation of her carnavale costumes was amazing.

I’ve recently returned from seven weeks in the England visiting family and friends. It had been incredibly hot for months with high temperatures breaking historical records. Sadly, I found that flowers had suffered. Although I didn’t visit Highgrove on this occasion, I hope Prince Charles had his gardeners watering regularly. Have a wonderful trip. Great post on the Contessa sighting. It made me want to come to Walnut Creek on the off chance… Loved the part about Winston being upset for his friend Banksy. I imagine he was screaming his head off.

I have also thought about how casual dressing has gone off the charts. Particularly in Los Angeles. Everyone looks like they just rolled out of bed or came from the gym. I was wondering if it was us 60s kids that started it. My parents did not appreciate my “hippie” bell bottoms and strange outfits. Do you think we started it? Horrors…now people asked me all the time why I am so dressed up. I’m not. I just want to look nice and will comment to any woman or man who looks put together and tell them how great they look. Startles most people that I would notice and say something but i am too shy to ask for a picture. You are more outgoing and I am sure people love to talk to you. Anyway I know you will have a fabulous time and come back with great pictures and entertaining stories.
P.S. That chartreuse caftan is GORGEOUS.

NO we did not start it……..the exercise industry STARTED IT.The shoe companies might be to blame too as everyone really got use to the comfy shoes first.Remember the women going to work DRESSED but wearing their Sneakers to run for the bus, train etc…………from there they introduced the TRACK SUITS for older women and than CASUAL became ACCEPTABLE in the OFFICE say on a FRIDAY……..THAN NO ONE CARED and every day became a CASUAL DAY.I think maybe CALIFORNIA was to BLAME IN STARTING THE TREND But I DON’T KNOW……….that would be an interesting PAPER for a student to write today.HOwever, the student today would have NO IDEA WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT………………unless they watch OLD MOVIES……………HA!

English gardens in the fall will be absolutely fantastic. Perhaps one could have a mini recorder and verbally record what one sees instead of having to hand write notes. We shall look forward to your Instagram pics. What an ordeal for Banksy. He is so fortunate to be in your care.
