Grace finished college in PARIS and then went back to Southern California. She has a JOB she is NOT too HAPPY with which she shared on HER BLOG in January and told us she was headed for a trip back to PARIS with her BOYFRIEND this past FEBRUARY!
On this trip she had an EPIPHANY I will let GRACE tell YOU what happened here!
“There is a place in Paris called the Conceiergerie. It’s located on the Ile-Ste-Louis and it the former prison during the Reign of Terror in the 1700’s. Even though the prison cells may have had a view of the Seine, something none of my studios ever did, it’s not somewhere one wants to end up, as basically every prisoner here was killed. In recent years, there has been a tendency to increase the number of cases of cardiac arrhythmias of central origin, which poses the http://medimagery.com/buyvalium/ task of researchers to choose an adequate pathogenetic therapy for this disease. The obtained data showed that Valium has an antiarrhythmic effect, which necessitates an in-depth study of these effects in order to justify the recommendations for the use of psychotropic drugs for the treatment of arrhythmias of central origin. The place was also a little bit shady, these prisoners, that were set to be executed, had to pay up front for their stay, with prices differing depending on if they were interested in sleeping on a bed or on the floor. Room service was not an option though. The prison/hotel really turned a profit since sometimes the hopeful prisoners would pay for a 2 week stay, only to be beheaded 2 days later.
This was also the spot to be if you were a celebrity inmate. My favorite whore of Versailles, Madame du Barry was held here before her execution. But, most notably were inmate #2758 and #8591, also known as Marie Antoinette and Napoleon III. The building itself is a Gothic architectural delight with fluted arches, grand fireplaces and a eerie sense of what happened here years ago. It’s also where I realized that I actually do love “old things.”

These are some old FRENCH GATES your CONTESSA purchased years ago!
YOU see they do Not have to be doing what they were intended for………..anything from THE PAST can be a Piece of ART!
Grace is starting out.She is in her early TWENTIES.I know HER MOTHER IS BEAMING from ABOVE!
With a few words spilling fourth………
MY JOB IS COMPLETE!
SHE FINALLY GOT IT!!!!!
The fact her daughter has picked up where she left off and has the same DESIRE TO DO WHAT HER MOTHER DID would make any parent PLEASED AS PUNCH!
WE ARE THRILLED FOR YOU GRACE.WE ARE YOUR CHEERLEADING SQUAD!WE your Mother’s Blog Readers will be here every step of the way!Plus, a few NEWBIES I hope after this POST!
If you are NEW to HAVE SOME DECORUM perhaps play catch up
Grace has the SAME SENSE OF HUMOR as her DEAR DEPARTED MOTHER who was known for her VOCABULARY and NOT BEATING AROUND THE BUSH sort of ways!It may SHOCK some of you but if you go back to read the history of the BLOG HAVE SOME DECORUM you will realize this woman KNEW she only had a little bit of time remaining………..she had to make SURE you understood the difference between HOMEGOODS BLUE and WHITE and THE GOOD STUFF!

HEALTH UPDATE:
MY HEALTH continues to be THE SAME, although one of MY VERY SPECIAL READERS named MICHELLE mentioned POTS.
Which I AM CERTAIN is MY DIAGNOSIS.
Now my Job is to convince the doctors of this!
I failed the FIRST TEST which is GOOD that means I have POTS so a medication was prescribed to me which will wipe OUT my CALCIUM and POTASSIUM!
Remember I have OSTEOPOROSIS!
I declined THAT medication and was offered another which MAY interfere with my MEDS and cause me to have a slow HEART BEAT!
I declined that TOO!!!!!!
THE ANSWER from THE NEUROLOGIST was this……….are YOU SITTING DOWN?
“DRINK GATORADE and do RECUMBENT EXERCISES”
I DO NOT BELIEVE I have to TELL YOU MY REACTION TO THIS!
FIRST I called the HEAD HONCHO of the entire medical FACILITIES.
NEVER HEARD BACK and I called two MORE TIMES to FOLLOW UP!
AFTER waiting over a week I WALKED INTO CUSTOMER SERVICE!
WE HAVE ACTION NOW!
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is not a specific disease but a syndrome which is a collection of symptoms. It is clinically defined as a heart rate increase of 30 beats per minute or more from the lying down to the standing position within 10 minutes or less. The diagnosis for POTS is usually established when a patient fails the Tilt Table Test: patients usually experience extremely rapid heart rate increase (Tachycardia) over 100 bpm and/or have significant changes in blood pressure. Some patients pass out (syncope). The reason for this problem is a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system (dysautonomia).
POTS symptoms are widespread and can vary from day-to-day, because the autonomic nervous system plays an extensive role in regulating functions throughout the body.
I continue to search OUT NEW DOCTORS and I think I have found a GOOD ONE due to an article my DEAR friend ALLENA gave me. THANK YOU CINDY for letting me know AMAZON has books on it!
I continue to spend Most of my DAYS reading!
Unless, Of course I get an INSPIRATION to SNAP A PHOTO!
WILD CHERRY TREES IN BLOOM in my NEW VINTAGE 1930’s OPERA COAT that I will use as a ROBE!

The BUST I named after ELLIE…………
I call her ELEANOR and frequently ask her questions about THE GARDEN!
SHE MAY BE GONE BUT NEVER WILL I FORGET HER!
XOXO

I agree that chartreuse is your color!
I also agree that Ellie is so proud that her daughter resurrected her blog and online store. It’s fun to read about Gracie’s adult life and adventures.
I am sorry that your medical issues still have not been resolved. I’m glad to hear that you are advocating for yourself, challenging doctors’ medicines and treatments, and complaining directly to the head of the medical facility. Hugs and prayers as you continue your journey to wellness.
LA CONTESSA says
THANK YOU for BEING HERE and YES it is a GREAT THRILL to hear about GRACIE and her adventures as we all feel WE KNOW HER!

I have been following Gracie. She’s a very good writer and definitely has her Mother’s sense of humor. It’s so darn difficult to get a diagnosis these days. Hope you can find meds that will help you. You rock that chartreuse, Contessa! If you must drink that disgusting Gatorade, put a good dose of Vodka in it and I’m sure you will be feeling better in no time. Not that I know from experience, or anything.
LA CONTESSA says
NO GATORADE for ME!
I have done MY READING and it seems CELERY JUICE and COCONUT WATER have the MOST SODIUM and LESS SUGAR!Here we all tend to GO LIGHT on the SALT these days BUT ME I have to PUMP it into MY BODY to keep making the BLOOD WORK!!
YES, your Vodka would HELP BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!
(ALSO NO ALCOHOL not even VINO for me since SEPTEMBER!!!)
So we put the WATER in a stemware glass something BEYOND GORGEOUS and a slice of LIME!That’s HOW I SURVIVE my evenings waiting for THE ITALIAN who sips HIS VINO A TAVOLA!IT works……….it’s that raising the glass motion I would miss MORE than the WINE or at least thats what I am telling MYSELF!!!!!

I am so glad to hear about Grace. Ellie’s writing about her daughter was probably the most emotional part of her saga. I will re-subscribe now that I know the blog is rejuvenated.
Your wine bottles are called dame-jeannes (Lady Janes) in French; I am curious as to what they’re called in Italian.
I love your collection of photos here. You do look good in chartreuse–it isn’t a color many people can pull off.
It makes sense that the doctor suggested recumbent exercises if you have POTS–your blood pressure changes rapidly when you go from sitting to standing, so to avoid problems, you can exercise as long as you do it lying down. Lots of good Pilates exercises on the floor. They don’t do much for cardio, but will help keep you strong. Good luck!
LA CONTESSA says
IT’s the SAME!
DAMIGIANA. IN ITALIAN!
I have done PILATES on the REFORMER for over SEVEN YEAR either 5 times a week or 3 times a week!!!!!!!!!STILL doing it 3 times a week……..and THATS NOT TRUE!I still get light headed going from my back to standing or sitting up and BALANCE was the first thing I noticed it WENT DOWN THE RAIN GUTTER which devastated me as I had been a BALLET DANCER as a YOUNG THING and HAD GOOD BALANCE!!!
The doc wants me to get a recumbent BICYCLE…………
I have exercised my entire LIFE!
I was NEVER A PERSON who liked to walk unless I was in EUROPE and EXPLORING THE STREETS of say YOUR VILLAGE!Because I always feel FAINT JUST WALKING……and out of breath! We could never walk side by side and have a conversation as I would be Huffing and puffing!
Hope that paints a better picture for you and YOU can see WHY I AM SO DESPERATE to get THIS ALL SORTED!
THANK YOU!!!

What a lovely introduction to Gracie! She definitely sounds as amazing as her mother was, who I’m sure is deeply proud of her indeed.
That chartreuse dress was MEANT for you!
Your health saga is just so deeply frustrating. Once you are in the hands of the right doctor who understands ALL of your issues, you can finally exhale. Until then, the you just have to keep pushing, which you are very good at doing.
Love to you xxx

I didn’t know about Ellie when she was alive but only learned of her after her death. Thank you for introducing us to Gracie! I’ve subscribed to her blog and left her comments on both of her posts because she’s amazing, not because she’s like her mother. POTS… I continue to ponder about POTS. I have a number of the same symptoms but I don’t think it’s a true fit. I am trying to give up all sugar, in everything including alcohol, and I feel a thousand times better. Hi Elizabeth,
Oh my you have been given the run-around by your medical team, and I feel for you and the frustration you are experiencing! What a nightmare. The truth is only you will advocate for your health. The system is so broken and convoluted that many times the Docs’ hands are tied (insurance companies control). So sad, but I hope with preserverance you get the answers you are looking for.
That “Eleanor” bust sure looks familiar! I studied her a long time while I painted her! I thought she was Queen Victoria or someone, but I like that you named her for someone you cared for. I hope the frame you are using for your fruit isn’t the one that is supposed to go around the painting! If it is, I have a feeling it will be some time before framing commences, because it looks so good on your table!
Chartreuse is MY favorite green and the color of my front door! I love how cheery and unexpected it is. That dress is really wonderful on you. You always look terrific, keep smiling and asking questions and the answers will come. Eventually.

I was so pleased to see Gracie has opened a shop and is continuing or starting a blog. You remember that is how you and I “met”. Through Ellie’s blog, I was introduced to several wonderful blogs, but hers was so unique. The first time I ever wrote to her I sent her my cherished photo of swans flying. It turned out she was crazy for swans. When I reread my emails to her and hers to me, I still get misty eyed. I so understood what she was going through as I had a brother… Do take care. I think the neurologist may be write about the Gatorade. Am going to read the label myself… Ann

Totally enjoying Have Some Decorum’s resurgence with Gracie at the helm. She is a talented writer, like her mother, with an excellent sense of the absurd. Gatorade?! Sheesh.

Sooo glad that you wrote about Ellie and Gracie. I’ve made two purchases so far from Gracie’s shop. Lovely to see her follow in her mother’s footsteps. I have no doubt mom is proud.
