I HAVE BEEN CLEANING OUT A FEW THINGS AND FOUND THIS EMAIL BELOW FROM 2007!
I ALSO GOT MY HAIRCUT LAST THURSDAY!
THE BIG RED GLASSES ARE FOR BLUE LIGHT FOR THE COMPUTER AND PHONE, WHICH I JUST SAW AN INTERVIEW ON TV THAT SAID THEY DO NOTHING!
ANOTHER SCAM TO GET US TO BUY!
I SWEAR MY EYES FEEL BETTER WHEN I WEAR THEM…….IS IT ALL IN MY HEAD?
ONE MORE COMPLAINT!
YESTERDAY, I TREATED MYSELF TO A GLUTEN FREE TURKEY SANDWICH.
I USED MY CREDIT CARD AS WHO HAS CASH?
NOT ME.
AS I SIGNED MY SIGNATURE; I SEE THAT MY EMAIL AND CELL PHONE NUMBER IS THERE……NOT ALL THE LETTERS AND NUMBERS BUT THIS LITTLE CAFE HAS ALL MY INFORMATION!
I AM SURE THIS HAS BEEN AROUND FOR AWHILE BUT I HAVEN’T BEEN OUT IN A YEAR, SO I FOUND THIS TO BE TOO MUCH!
I SUPOSE I SIGNED AWAY MY RIGHT TO PRIVACY WHEN I GOT MY NEW PHONE IN JULY?
AND DID YOU SEE 60 MINUTES THIS WEEK ON 23andME & ANCESTRY.COM?
WHAT A HACK THAT HAS BEEN!
THEY NOW HAVE ALL YOUR INFORMATION AND WILL SELL TO OTHER COMPANIES TO USE FOR GOOD AND BAD.
Then most likely sell it back to YOU!

I think it would be wise to read the Carlin essay once a month, so it sticks with us and we don’t forget, or we remember. Right on thoughts and caring. Re: they have our information. Yep, that’s the price you pay for being on the internet. I didn’t watch 60 Minutes yet. So I’m not all fired up. I just know they have it and what are they going to do with it? Walking a friend’s garden last week. Always joy with her, acknowledgment of what’s going on in the world too.
Our walk finishing, perusing the new orchard, its guilds being cut out, one guild wildly off; to the point of asking, “How much was drunk at the party?”
Her right arm threaded with my left arm, our hands holding each other’s, our fingers threaded tightly together.

Ole George sure had a way with words! He was arrested here in my town, Milwaukee, on charges of public obscenity, after his routine, “Seven words you can never say on television.” Do you remember that? It was on his album too and I loved the way his deep wheezy voice delivered the curse words. This was ‘71 or ‘72 I think. And later he called the controversy the “Milwaukee Seven.” Such a clever man! The judge ruled in his favor, of course.

The Great Blue Heron is a stately, statuesque, and patient hunter. If they have been around people at all, they do not startle easily. How wonderful that you got a picture! Thanks for reminding us of the immortal George Carlin; in addition to being really funny, he was deep and introspective. He said once that he was always the kid in class who was cutting up, making jokes, and getting into trouble. That explains the name of one of his albums, “Class Clown.” Your new haircut is very elegant and becoming. The first photo is another twist on the sexy librarian look you had a while back. Thank you for a thoughtful post.

George Carlin was an American treasure. Always so perceptive. Yesterday I looked in my wallet and I have $42.76. It’s been there for almost a year. I only shop online and use credit cards so unless I deposit this money into my bank account, it is worthless. You have a lovely heron, or is it an egret? I have a pair of turkey vultures who’ve taken to perching themselves on my chimney. I hope that’s not a bad sign… xoxox, Brenda

Hello Contessa, One could add on indefinitely to Carlin’s message. For example, so many people spend a lot of time and money, yet are willing to accept mediocre results, even with things that will affect their entire life. Or, the more ways we have to communicate, the harder it is to get in touch with someone.
When I was buying a new computer last year, the technical specifications told about the blue light emissions, but these seemed pretty acceptable for most laptops that were of decent quality–I have no idea about smart phones, but am guessing the situation is similar. I would search the model I was interested in, together with “review” and “blue light” and get the entire lowdown.

Hi Sister Contessa Elizabeth … if nothing else the many horrors of 2020 should be a call for slow living so typical of the better parts of Europe where things of beauty are valued … rather than things of high value. Making .. wether it be food, gardens, crafts, interiors, art all allow you to create and share … it is the way forward. Technology in its many forms makes us prisoners sadly and is not the release from work and pressure that we imagined. Learn to make something is my answer and then give the outcome to a friend!!

How lovely that you have a regular morning visitor, he is quite stunning and even looking directly toward the camera for you. Nothing seems 100% secure these days. Sad but true. Dear Contessa,
Luckily, when I sat down to have my coffee this morning your post was the first to come up. I clicked on your blog, and so enjoyed reading George Carlin‘s words. I too, have a box filled with little written treasures, Scraps of paper yellowed with age, old Dear Abby columns, cards from my kids ( proof, especially important during their teenage years when I didn’t think they loved me!!) in that box of incredibly potent memorabilia, I too have that pearl of wisdom tucked away. It moves me the same way every time I read it.
I haven’t seen any herons since we’ve moved down here, but on my daily walk, when I lived in Danville, We had a creek filled with them. I almost took them for granted as I walked by them on a daily basis. I certainly could use a heron or two in my yard here, especially now that you’ve told me they like gophers. They could have a field day, literally, in my yard. I can’t plant anything, unless I wrap the root ball and chicken wire. Then, those little buggers have still been known to get in and eat the roots and cause the plant to die. The latest casualty, was a five year old avocado tree.?. Lord knows, I certainly don’t have years to waste, trying to get another one to grow big enough to harvest avocados from!!
Your hair looks wonderful like that. My hairdresser said the trick to getting your hair to look like it does when you come home from the hairdresser, is to get every little bit of moisture out of the cuticle. So really to take time blow drying it. I am always in such a hurry, when I’m actually doing my hair, because it means I’m going someplace or going to work so of course I’m thinking about 1 million things I need to do, and rushing through my hair. My hair always looks best in either Albuquerque or Phoenix. So I guess, if I’m going to have a good hair day I’ve got to go out of state?.
Have a wonderful day. Your words have started my day off nicely?
